Christmas Special - Cab Sav 2007
Gold Medal QANTAS Wine Show 2008.
Applauded by James Halliday (score 94/100) and Ray Jordan (score 93/100), this lovely wine continues to improve.
Ray Jordan tasting notes read
Damned fine cabernet...It won a gold medal at the Qantas Wine Show and not hard to see why. Leafy black current and minerally tobacco nuances on the nose. The palate is seamlessly balanced with a real poise and presence about it. Classic structure for cabernet. Excellent. Cellar 4 years.
Liz Dawson's- wine maker- tasting notes read:
"Colour is brilliant ruby red with a purple hue. The nose is lifted with cassis, briary leaf, blackcurrant aromas and earthy oak undertones. The wine has a full mouth feel with a juicy blackcurrant entry to the palate which develops into more varietal cabernet flavours of mint and briary. The palate is long and refined with considerable weight and depth of flavour and an abundance of fine chalky tannins."
