About Chimes Estate
Chimes Estate is nestled in a tranquil valley North East of Margaret River and is surrounded by forests and cattle farms. It is blessed with well drained loamy soils and a temperate climate that is ideal for vines and olives.
Chimes Estate is owned and managed by Philip and Margaret Thompson who planted the first vines and olives in 2002. Today there are 18 acres of red and white grapes, 1200 olive and 100 Tahitian lime trees.
Grape varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc while the olive varieties include Leccino, Frantoia, Pendolino, WA Mission & Kalamata.
The name Chimes reflects the natural complexity and harmony that wind chimes evoke while the Chimes logo symbolically shows the flowers of Western Australia arranged as chimes.
